The Markie iPhone app is on the App Store
July 22, 2026
Markie now goes where you go. The iPhone companion app is live on the App Store: save from any app through the iOS share sheet, and it lands in your library on your Mac, synced through your own folder, never through our servers.
Save from wherever you are
Screenshots pile up in the Camera Roll. Interesting pages open in Safari and never get revisited. A reference photo lands in a message thread and gets lost by the next scroll. The Markie iPhone app puts a save option in the share sheet, so wherever the asset already is, that's where you save it: Safari, Photos, and other apps that support sharing.
No separate upload step, no switching to a desktop later to remember what you meant to keep. Save it in the moment, and it's in your library.
Your own sync folder, not our servers
Markie has no cloud and no account. The iPhone app reaches your Mac library through a sync folder you already control: iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or Google Drive. Point the Mac app and the iPhone app at the same folder, and saves move between them the way any file in that folder would.
There's no Markie server in between. The sync provider you already trust with your other files is the one moving your assets, too.
Browse on the go
The iPhone app isn't just a save button. Open it to browse your library, the same assets you've been collecting on the Mac, now in your pocket. Useful for pulling up a reference on the move, checking whether you already saved something before saving it again, or just looking back through what you've collected.
What you need
The Mac app is the library: gallery view, infinite canvas, tagging, search. The iPhone app extends it. You'll need a sync folder set up and shared between the two (iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or Google Drive), and iOS 18.6 or later on your iPhone.
Markie for iPhone is a free download.
