A searchable reference library that stays on your machine
Built for people who collect
Designers, developers, researchers, and other creatives save images, videos, and PDFs for reference work. Markie keeps it in one library: browse it as a gallery, or spread references out on an infinite canvas.
Save without leaving the page
A Chrome extension saves assets from the web with one click or a right-click. The desktop app must be running for the extension to save into it.
Tagging, search, and asking your library questions
AI tagging and descriptions are optional, and run locally through Ollama rather than a server. Semantic search is optional too. Filter the gallery by type, color, tag, or date, and edit tags yourself in bulk. A built-in MCP server lets you connect the library to AI assistants like Claude, so you can search or retrieve assets in natural language.
Nothing about your library goes anywhere
Files are stored as plain files, in a folder you choose. Point that folder at iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or Google Drive if you want your own sync. There's no cloud and no account. No server collects what you save, either.
