A Local Asset Library, Built for Mac
Everything stays on your machine
Markie stores your library as plain files in a folder you choose. There is no cloud and no account to set up. The desktop app is the library itself, with a gallery view for browsing and an infinite canvas for arranging things spatially.
Built for Apple Silicon
Markie runs on macOS 15 and later, on M1 or newer. It does not support Intel Macs.
Save from the web, then browse locally
A Chrome extension saves images, videos, PDFs, and SVGs from the web in one click. The desktop app has to be running for the extension to save into it. Thumbnails and dominant colors are generated automatically. Filter by type, color, tags, or date, tag manually or in bulk, and turn on optional AI tagging, which runs locally through Ollama, or optional semantic search.
Sync it your way
Since your library is a folder, you decide what happens to it. Leave it on your Mac, or point it at iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or Google Drive if you want your own sync across machines. An iPhone app can save into that same folder through the share sheet, no Markie servers involved.
Start free
Free is $0 and includes every feature, up to 500 saves. Pro is a one-time $19 launch price (regular $29) for lifetime access and unlimited saves, and activates on up to 3 computers.
